Chopper Kits
What makes a chopper look cool? What is usually the first thing that a person sees from a oncoming chopper? It has to be the motorcycle handlebars. It does not matter if they are twisted, low, high, set forward or set back, if you don't have a the right motorcycle handlebars your chopper will just not look right. The handlebars carry on the look and feel of the bike.
Of course most chopper builders would not have any problems making their handlebars from scratch. But for those that are trying to save some money, buying a pre-made set of motorcycle handlebars would be an option. Most chopper makers have known about this option for a while. They tend to buy a set and bang and weld it into the masterpiece that they are looking for.
Finding a used pair of chopper custom motorcycle handlebars is not as hard as it may seem. I am sure a great place to start is at a local chopper shop. They will probably have plenty handlebars to choose from. The only problem with this route is that you may have to spend a premium to get a pair.
Another option is to turn to the net. Their are sites that specialize in build rough cut motorcycle handlebars that just need a finish. These are custom and also may need a finish word to remove the welder marks. Auction sites are also a great option. eBay has a great selection of custom handlebars from quality bike builders. A great place to look is at this motorcycle handlebar site.
Of course as I said in the beginning, building you own motorcycle handlebars is an option. But this option could take more time than necessary to get the job down. But if you have the time and materials it may the the option that you would want to take.
