Most people have heard of Harley Davidson motorcycles and many riders would like to own a Harley Davidson chopper. This is because Harleys are classified in the top tier of the motorcycle world. The main reason why Harleys are regarded as unique and special is their history that helped create a bad boy image. The Harleys have been around for more than a hundred years therefore owning one is like having a piece of that history. The Harley Davidson brand has become a household name all over the world. Despite all these, Harleys have their own critics too. However, the fans outnumber them by far. The history of Harleys started back in 1903 when the first Harley was created for the mass market. At the time, they were a small brand barely known by many people but over the years, they have managed to create a permanent reputation that has become a way of life. Apart from the bikes, there are other products as Harley Davidson toys and clothes all themed on Harley Davidson choppers.
Since riding is all about adventure, there is no limit to the lengths that people are willing to go to achieve this. Harley Davidson choppers have various designs that ensure any person with a spirit of adventure is fully satisfied. Some of the famous choppers include the Harley Davidson Sportster, Dyna Glyde, SoftTail, V-Rod and the Harley Davidson Touring. The Harley Davidson Sporster is the best selling model among the Harley choppers. It is usually equipped with a windshield, leather mount saddlebag, low sissy bar and a deluxe touring seat. The seat has a passenger rest for more comfort. With all these comfort features, the bike is well suited for long distance touring. Since you have to carry some luggage on such journeys, the Sportster is also equipped with a sport rack and an overnight rack.
The Harley Davidson Sportster chopper has an evolution V-twin engine with 1200 cc or a smaller version with 883cc. The two engines are interchangeable meaning you can start with the smaller one and then upgrade later. The Sportster is superb with regard to handing and has a low profile that leaves the rider close to the ground. The 883cc version has blacked-out style front fork gaiters and drag style handlebars. Another great feature of this Sportster is the belt guard, which provides you with enough protection from cuts by the chain. Apart from the engine difference between the two sportster versions, the carrying capacity is another major distinction. The 883 is meant for lone riders while the 1200 can hold two people. With a Harley Davidson Sportster 2010 you have a classic looking bike with a bullet headlight, low rise handlebars and forward mounted foot pegs.
