However, when you buy an OEM part, even thought you know that these parts are perfectly workable, you end up spending more money, considering they are original parts. The OEM parts are delivered through a third party that delivers the requirement needed for the bike owner. Now, coming to after market motorcycle parts, you should know that there is no harm in going and getting after market motorcycle parts as they are pretty reliable when it comes to quality. In other words, these parts are non-OEM parts which are manufactured in such a way that they fulfill the needs of the original parts but they can risk the chance of the quality of your bike. If you install an aftermarket part, there is a slim chance that it will reduce the performance of your bike. However, it could also equal or increase the performance of your bike.
Except for the factor of pricing, an aftermarket part might end up having a slight advantage over the original part because the demand that is there for the customization of the motorcycle parts is more. The demand in the customization might rise into a slightly better modification of the part, a modification as slight as the color-change of the chassis. However, one important thing you should be careful of is the dealer that you are dealing with. This is because not all the dealers that you deal with are good people and some of them actually sell second hand parts that have a little damage on them which cannot be seen at a first glance. Sometimes dealers sell aftermarket parts that do not match the compatibility of your bike. So, you should make it a point to go ahead and check out the after market parts before you buy them. However, the bottom line lies that after market parts are not always a bad value for money.
